A 62-year old man, Lukman Haruna, who was arrested for inserting his finger into a 10-year old girl’s private part has confessed that he preferred to insert his finger into little girls’ private parts in order to satisfy his sexual desire.

He was said to have claimed that he did not know that it was an offence to do so on her and other little girls around until he was arrested by the police.

P.M.EXPRESS had reported the arrested of Haruna as ordered by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi EdgalM over the conduct.

The incident happened at 665 Agege Motor Road, PWD, Lagos, where they reside.

He allegedly lured the victim into his apartment, opened her pant and inserted his finger into her private part. Due to the force he used, blood dripped from the 10-year old girl’s private and the dastardly act was exposed. The victim reported what happened to her parents who then reported the matter to the Gender Section of the State Police Command, Lagos.
He was subsequently brought to the Ogba Magistrates court where he made some revelations.
The embattled Haruna claimed that he did not sleep with the victim but only touched her and allowed her to go because the size of his joystick cannot penetrate her.
However, his action has landed him in trouble as he was arrested, paraded by the police and now facing rape charge which may keep him for longer period in prison custody.
The 62-year old man was brought to the court and arraigned but his plea was not taken following the motion raised by the prosecutor, Inspector Christopher John, for the DPP advice on the matter because the victim was a minor.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. Peter Nwaka, ordered the defendant to be remanded in prison custody. The court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 10th December, 2018, for the report of DPP to be available and also to determine which court will handle the matter.
It was gathered that if DPP finds Haruna culpable, the matter will be transferred to the High Court for trial. And if found guilty, the penalty will be more than 10 years imprisonment.
