Nigerian business mogul, politician, entrepreneur and CEO of Masters Energy Group, Dr. Uche Ogah, is mobilising Abia indigenes within and outside the state who have not collected their PVCs or have not registered with INEC to try and do so between today and next week.

In his recent mobilization effort Uche Ogah said, “My fellow Abia people, please go out and collect your PVCs! If you’ve not registered with INEC, please go and register. Beyond the elections, you will need it in the emerging new Nigeria. It is an important national identify that will give you access to many benefits in the emerging new Nigeria and not having it may deny you such opportunities tomorrow”.

“My people please don’t say that you don’t have the time. You may have yourself to blame very soon when the need for it will arise. Please abandon everything you are doing now. Go out and find out where and how to get your Voters Card and register if you’ve done so. Please set your priority right as INEC will soon end the exercise” Uche Ogah said.

The Independent National Electoral Commission had said that the Continuous Voter Registration exercise will be suspended from August 17, 2018 till after the 2019 general elections and nobody knows when they will resume again.

The commission said that the time for registration and collection of PVCs will now take place from 9am to 5pm every day, as opposed to the 9am to 3pm. The commission further stated that the distribution of cards and registration of new voters will no longer take place on weekdays only but will now hold on weekends also. There will also be registration on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as on public holidays (if any) within the period.
