Retired Air Force Officer Slumps, Dies Inside Bathroom

A 90-year old retired senior Air Force officer and senior pastor of Cherubim and Seraphin, Pa Pathfinder Tomwuru has died after he slumped and fell down inside the bathroom in his residence in Lagos.
The incident happened in Sanusi Street in Ejigbo, Lagos where he lived with his family at the time other tenants had gone to work.
This happened barely two months after the deceased lost his wife.
According to residents, the old man slumped inside the bathroom when he went to take his bath and became unconscious.
He was there for several hours without any help until a little boy saw him and raised alarm.
He was rescued and rushed to a hospital but died before he could get any attention.

The doctor only certified him dead.
Source said the late nonagenarian, who retired a senior officer, had to put up in the  public apartment known as “face me and face you” because he could not afford to own his own house after retirement.
His pension was little and was not regularly paid as at when due by the government. This coupled with the fact that he was so unfortunate as many of his children who ought to cater to him, instead depended on his little irregular pension for their own upkeep and education before the incident happened.
According to residents, late Pa Tomwuru took consolation and was dedicated to the service of God despite the difficulties he faced before he died early this week.
His corpse has been deposited at the mortuary from where it will be taken to his home town for burial in Bayelsa State.
When our correspondent visited the place, sympathizers where there expressing shock over what happened. Some of the residents described the deceased as very strong despite his age and was always dedicated to anything that has to do with evangelism.
