#RevolutionNow Movement#: Many Arrested, As Police, Protesters Clash In Lagos (PHOTOS)

Men of the Nigeria Police prevented the planned protest tagged #RevolutionNow# in Lagos on Monday at the National Stadium in Surulere.
The police, who have stormed the sportscity in their large number very early in the day, were to be on ground to stop the protest called by  human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore who is also presidential candidate of African Action Congress (AAC). Sowore contested the last presidential election and lost.
Eye witnesses at the scene of the incident said that the protesters who have converged at the stadium were dispersed with tear gas by the police, with some of them who defiled order arrested and whisked away.
Activities in and around the National Stadium have been paralysed. Most especially hit is the sporting activities inside the stadium complex, while the ongoing 2019 ITTF Challenge Plus Nigeria Open at the Teslim Balogun Stadium may also suffered the same fate.
