Rivers State Command Flags-Off Zero Crime Campaign

As part of efforts to combat crimes and make Rivers State safe for both residents and investors, the State Police Command has flagged off ‘Operation Zero Crime’ in the state.
The one-week programme, initiated by the Commissioner of Police, CP Nwonyi Polycarp Emeka, psc, LLB, Ph.D., is to ensure a safe and crime-free environment in the 23 local government areas of the state, as well as return confidence that ‘police is your friend’.
On Monday, October 2, 2023, a roadshow awareness walk took place starting from the Aba Road axis and later converged at Isaac Boro Park.
Tuesday, October 3, 2023, witnessed the official inauguration and panel discussions by 10 a.m., while on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, a 3-day free medical outreach in the three senatorial districts of Rivers State took place.
Yesterday, Thursday, October 5, 2023, witnessed the waterfront/workshop.
Friday, October 6th, commences with CP’s Secondary School Essay Challenge and CP’s Novelty Football Match between female DPOs and male DPOs, as well as the CP Management Team and PCRC, while on Saturday, October 7th, CP’s workshop and education session will take place.
According to the State PPRO, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the event will come to an end on Sunday, October 8, 2023, with a night of laughter, a runway show, and a meet and greet.
