Married Woman Robbed, Raped By Robbers

A married woman has been attacked and raped by robbers in Lagos who used Aboniki balm on her private part for easy penetration.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on the fateful day in the evening at First Gate Bus Stop in Agidingbi area of Ikeja, Lagos, when the victim was returning from work.
The victim suffered her fate after the armed robbers accosted her, hit her with a hammer, took her to a corner and forced her to remove her pant. They were said to have brought the balm, inserted into her private part and raped her in turns.
Thereafter, they robbed her of her wedding ring, phones and other valuables before allowing her to go. After the sad experience, she went to Area G Police Command at Ogba area of Lagos and reported what happened to her. The police then trailed the suspects and arrested three of them while others were said to be at large.
The suspects were Emmanuel Okotie, 40, Onyebuchi Onyebiloma, 35 and Salaudeen Babatunde.
The police found them culpable and they were later charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for conspiracy, robbery and rape.
The prosecutor, Inspector Christopher John, told the court that the offence the defendants committed were robbery and rape that required the DPP advice to determine the jurisdiction for trial. Thus, the P.residing Magistrate, Mr. Peter Nwaka, denied them bail and refused to take their plea. The court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate their file and send to DPP for advice.
The defendants may be charged to the High Court if the DPP finds them culpable and they will be tried for rape.
The defendants were remanded in prison custody pending the outcome of DPP’s advice.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the victim married woman serious injury in her private part as a result of the dastardly act and was receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Lagos.
