The relationship between the people and the Nigeria Police must be a collaborative and mutually beneficial that will guarantee a safe society.

This was the position of Mr. Sanmi Oladunni, the Managing Director of MOL Tech Accessories and MOL Integrated Service Limited while playing host to the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Zone 2, Mr Adegoke Fayoade, who was a special guest at the unveiling ceremony of MOL JAMBOX, a new tech innovation from the stable of MOL at the Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos recently.

Oladunni used the occasion of the unveiling ceremony of MOL JAMBOX to also unveil a collaborative security initiative between his company and the Nigeria Police, which will see MOL Tech providing some tech products to assist and enhance the security jobs of the police within Zone 2 Command of the Nigeria Police.

Oladunni said at the event that “in our business, we consider security as one of the key responsibilities of the government, and we’re looking at how we can support this effort with our technology because we are trying to bring into the markets new innovative products.

“We will speak with the AIG to let him know our plans on collaborating and supporting our police to enhance security within the areas of the coverage of Zone 2, that is Lagos State and Ogun State.

“We may not necessarily have the capacity to cover the whole country by now, but we are very much eager to start from Zone 2, at least for us to begin to show our concerns for the security of the country and the comfort of our security officers who have been doing wonderfully well in their job.

“At this unveiling ceremony, we are decorating the AIG with the specially made branded security vest which we will provide in large quantities to be given out to the security agents.

“The vests will be used by the traffic police for them to position themselves visibly on the roads. This is our own little way of supporting the community policing effort of the Inspector General of the police (IGP).”

Responding to the gesture of MOL Tech Accessories, the AIG Zone 2, Mr Adegoke Fayoade commended the initiative of the company to join hands with the police to secure the society.

He said the business of securing the communities should be for all Nigerians, adding that the police would be grateful with the kind gesture of MOL Tech Accessories and other well-meaning Nigerians who are ready to partner with the police to have a safe Nigeria.
