As part of his educational advancement programme for indigent students seeking admission into tertiary education institutions, Senator Solomon Adeola (APC, Ogun West) has approved the release of funds to pay for the Joint Admission Matriculations Board (JAMB) UTME forms for 5000 students.
Eligible candidates with requisite qualifications, who must provide a valid telephone number and NIN, are requested to come to Asade Agunloye Pavilion Ground, Ilaro, Yewa South LGA to register to benefit from this programme between February 24-27, 2025, at 9am daily.
Explaining the rationale behind the gesture targeted at assisting parents and guardians in these austere times over the weekend, Senator Adeola stated that his senatorial office have been inundated with request for assistance to purchase JAMB forms by indigents students adding that there is no way he will turn a blind eye to such a challenge placed against the people in their quest for knowledge.
“For sometimes now request have been pouring to my office as well as my social media accounts for financial assistance in collection of JAMB forms by parents, guardians and students. I decided to approve fund for the forms for at least 5000 students as part of my representative function and to enhance the advancement of our people educationally generally” the senator stated.
He said the benefits of the educational infrastructure in the form of over 200 new classrooms, ICT Centres as well as training for teachers  at the secondary school levels, which he has facilitated would be diminished if products at this level are denied opportunities to further their education as a result of financial handicap. He added that as a further complement of the programme, the second edition of his scholarship and bursary programme for student of tertiary institutions will soon be implemented.
