Senator Ekwunife Hosts Supporters & Members Of Campaign Organisation To A Special Banquet

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife PhD, on Thursday, July 15, 2021, hosted some of her supporters and members of her campaign organization to a special banquet in Awka.
The event had in attendance some of her supporters across the 21 Local Government areas of the state, and was called in appreciation for the support the quintessential Federal lawmaker got during the just concluded Primary Election of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Speaking at the gathering, Senator Ekwunife noted that in spite of the outcome of the election, the support she got was tremendous. She expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to impact on the lives of people, and assured the gathering that she remains committed to promoting the ideals of good governance.
Ekwunife, who graced the event shortly after she commissioned a 3-bedroom bungalow for a less-privileged woman, Mrs. Victoria Okafor, at Isuaniocha in Awka North Local Government Area, stated that the essence of seeking public office is to bring the dividends of democracy to the people, and that her desire to govern the state was driven by the need to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor.
Various speakers at the gathering took turns to extol the Senator for showing great courage. They encouraged her not to relent in her efforts to serve the people, and assured her of their continuous support.
Notably present at the event were some high ranking members of the campaign organization, including, the Director General, A. A. Anagu, the Chairman, Ichie Edwin Ubboh, former Commissioner for Women Affairs, Lady Henrietta Agbata, former Chairman ASUBEB, Dr Rose Nwankwo, former Accountant General of Anambra State, Mrs. Helen Nwaeri, Legislative Assistant to the Senator, Hon. Ifeyinwa Chinwuko.
Others were former PDP State Organizing Secretary, Hon Tony Ngaji, former Council Chairman Anaocha LGA, Hon Chibuzor Oli, former Chairman Anambra State Physical Planning Board, Chief Victor Okpoko, Women Leader of the campaign Organization, Mrs. Ego Atuegbu, Hon Humphrey Iloh, Lolo Ifeyinwa Abunyie amongst others.
