Senator Oluremi Tinubu Turbaned As ‘Sarauniyar Yaki’ (Queen Warrior) Of Akko Emirate

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has been conferred with the title of ‘Sarauniyar Yaki’ (Queen Warrior) from the Akko Emirate in Gombe State during a ceremonial event on 2nd October, 2025, honouring her advocacy for women and children.

 

The conferment occurred amid her two-day visit to inaugurate Gombe’s maiden Health Summit and facilities like the Federal Medical Center Kumo, highlighting her role in maternal and child health initiatives.

 

The honour, which, “she received with deep gratitude and humility” was bestowed by Lamido Akko, Alhaji Umar Muhammad Atiku, in recognition of her tireless advocacy for the weak and her commitment to empowering the girl child.
