A 37-year old self acclaimed spiritualist, Waheed Adetayo, has landed in trouble after he allegedly stripped a 14-year old girl naked for purported spiritual deliverance and ended up defiling her in the process.

It was gathered that the spiritualist, Adetayo, lured the victim and gave her false prophecies of many evils that will befall. She then became confused and he told her that she needed deliverance, which the victim accepted.
He then removed her pant and clothes for a spiritual bath after he had brought soap and sponge for the deliverance.
The suspect, Adetayo, was said to have abandoned the spiritual work and penetrated her in order to satisfy his sexual desire and the deliverance ended abruptly.
The victim went home dejected and informed her parents about what happened and the matter was then reported to the Police at Alagbado Division. Police operatives arrested the spiritualist, Adetayo and detained him for interrogation.
During interrogation, he admitted and told the Police what happened. He said that he actually embarked on the deliverance but lost control when he saw her nakedness and he was forced to engage her in a sex romp.
The Police found him culpable and later charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
The Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Supol Benson Emerhi, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Sule-Amzat, ordered the defendant to be remanded in custody without an option of bail.
The Court directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice. The matter was adjourned till 26th March, 2019.
