The incident happened last week Thursday at the GTBank branch located at Akowonjo round about in Shasha area of Lagos.

The police at Area M Command,  Idimu has arrested the bank’s security man in connection with the robbery and detained him at the Command.

Edo State born musician confirmed the incident and said he was still in shock over what happened and demanded for thorough investigation in order to fish out the criminals. The embittered BCROSS narrated how the incident happened and suspected that it was the work of an insider in the bank who gave out the information about his transaction.

He said that he reported the matter to the police and the key suspect who was the security man was arrested but later released on bail. He lamented that the security situation in the country has not really improved and advised that the government should do something about it otherwise it will continue to drive investors away from the country.

He also noted that the economic situation in the country had made it worse as many youths took to crime and added that it was the same situation that made him to travel abroad eight years ago.

When P.M.EXPRESS visited Area M Idimu command, the commander, ACP Austines Akika was not around to comment on the matter.
However, police sources at the Command confirmed the incident and said the police has intensified efforts to arrest the culprits.

Meanwhile BCROSS commended the Nigerian musicians for their exploits in the music industry all over the world. He noted that in Europe, Nigerian music was trending despite the fact that they do not have sophisticated equipment to produce the music back home.
