Champion Newspapers, a national news tabloid, which provides verified news updates while pioneering the movement for a better society, will tomorrow, Friday, 3rd June, 2022, honour carefully selected prominent Nigerians, who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavour for playing strategic roles in making the society a better place.

We authoritatively gathered that all is now set for the hosting of one of the biggest Nigeria’s most glamourous events, where the best of the nation’s corporate institutions, outstanding managers in both private and public sectors, entrepreneurs, diplomats, diasporan Igbo Monarch,  political leaders and doyens of the entertainment industry will be honoured for their immense contributions towards the socio-economic and political development of Nigeria.

The annual epoch-making event, it was gathered, is the 2021 Edition of the  yearly Champion Newspapers Awards and Recognitions, slated to hold tomorrow at the prestigious Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos State.

Giving some insight into the most exquisite and glamorous event which holds with much panacea, the Group Managing Director and Editor-In-Chief of Champion Newspapers, Dr. Mrs. Nwadiuto Iheakanwa, disclosed to newsmen in Lagos that such eminent personalities and distinguished Nigerians that will be honoured included,  but not limited to:
Borno State Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Babagana Zulum, a former Lagos State Military Administrator and Chairman of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), His Excellency, Brig. Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa (Rtd), OFR, All Progressives Congress Governorship candidate in Abia State and immediate past Minister of State for Mines and Steel, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, OON, EzeIgbo Ghana, His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr. Amb. Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu (Ezeohazurume of Ghana, Global Peace Ambassador), a former Kano State governor and grassroots political mobilizer,  His Excellency, Sen. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Ennyinnaya Orji, High Chief (Dr.) Emeka Okonkwo (E-Money), the Minority leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Godwin Ndudi Elumelu, among others.

A total of 25 awardees would queue up at the glam­orous event to be decorated with medals of honour and excellence. Zenith Bank Plc, Standard Chartered Bank Plc, NEM Insurance Plc and Eze Ndigbo Ghana are also slated for the special recognition at the event.

Ezeigbo Ghana, HRM Eze Dr. Amb. Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu, is recognized by the panel and orgainers of the 2021 Champion Newspapers Annual Awards given the prominent roles he has been playing over the years to ensure unity, love and peaceful co-existence of both Igbos and other Nigerians living in Ghana. He has also been saluted for the strategic roles he is playing in championing the West African cause among members of the ECOWAS. 

Already, Lagos State Gov­ernor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has confirmed his readiness to play host to the galaxy of stars expected at the event, which will be held under the chairmanship of legal lumi­nary and former President, Aka Ikenga, Barrister Goddy Uwazurike.
