How Igbo High Chief Was Killed During Robbery Operation In Lagos Bank

The indigenes of Amaduru in Orsumoghu town in Anambra State are still in shock over what happened to one of the revered high chiefs in the community, Chief Ugo Ebenaja.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Chief Ebenaja was arrested and killed with some of his gang members in a failed bank robbery that took place in Festac, Lagos.
The 47-year old Ebenaja who resides in Satellite town area of Lagos was said to have led a robbery operation where they attempted to rob a bank.
However, the police foiled the operation and some of the gang members were shot and killed during the exchange of gun fire between the robbers and the police.
It was gathered that Chief Ebenaja, who led the operation received gun shot and was arrested but he was said to have eventually died as a result of gun shot injury.
When our correspondent contacted some of his people, they confirmed and expressed shock over the incident.
The video of the robbery incident and the arrested of the gang members have equally gone viral in the social media.
Some of his community members who spoke to P.M.EXPRESS expressed different opinions but unanimously agreed that Ebenaja was influential and contributed to the development of their community.
One of the brothers said he was still shocked that Ugo Ebenaja was an armed robber against what the community thought about him.
P.M.EXPRESS findings in the community was that efforts are being made to retrieve his corpse to give him decent burial.
However, some of the members of the community were against such plans, according to them, he has brought shame and disgrace to his family and the entire community.
When our correspondent contacted the police source, they confirmed the failed robbery incident which involved Ebenaja and did not know he was a prominent chief in his community.
The police source declined to say what happened to his corpse, according to the police source, his corpse belong to the government and the family cannot retrieve it.
