RMAFC Visits Imo State, Assures Transparency In Revenue Allocation

The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) has paid a courtesy visit to the Imo State Commissioner for Finance and Coordinating Economy, Hon. Chuck Chukwuemeka.
The visit, part of the Commission’s ongoing state monitoring exercise, aimed to ensure transparency and equity in revenue allocation to Imo State.
Led by Barrister Mrs Elizabeth N. Okafor, the RMAFC delegation emphasized their commitment to ensuring that the state receives its fair share of revenue from the Federal Account. They expressed appreciation for the ongoing infrastructural development projects witnessed during their visit, highlighting the importance of fiscal accountability in supporting such initiatives.
Commissioner Chukuemeka welcomed the delegation, assuring them of the state government’s cooperation in supporting their mission. He pledged full support in ensuring that Imo State does not lose out on any revenue due to it, stating, “We must make sure we get the money that we didn’t know we have and anything that will increase inflow into the state, I’m all for it” he said.
The RMAFC plays a crucial role in overseeing the distribution of funds from the Federal Account, guaranteeing fairness and transparency in the revenue allocation process. Their visit to Imo State demonstrates their commitment to ensuring that all states receive their rightful share of the nation’s resources.
