I Steal For A Living – Teenager Confesses

A 19-year old, Sodiq Musbau, has reportedly confessed that he steals from people to make a living as he had no meaningful job he was doing in Lagos.

He reportedly claimed to have preferred to steal than to look for work he would engage himself in and moved from place to place to steal.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Musbau was caught at 15 Iyewa Street in Isolo area of Lagos where he had gone to steal.
He was said to have gone there at night, stole a generator, hid in the area and went away. He then went to the place in the afternoon to carry the generator from where he hid it and he was eventually caught by the residents who recovered the generator and handed him over to the police.
P.M.EXPRESS scooped that he confessed to the police that he was a thief and had no job he was doing except stealing from people.
He reportedly said that he actually went to the street to steal at night; stole the generator but was unable to move with it and then he hid it somewhere and escaped.
He said that he was unlucky that he was caught when he went to carry the generator in order to sell to his clients which landed him in trouble.
after interrogation, the police found him culpable and charged him before the Isolo Magistrates Court for stealing.
He pleaded guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Oje Uagbale, asked the court for a short adjournment to enable him present the facts so that the court will sentence him accordingly.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.O. Teluwo, ordered his remand in prison custody without an option of bail.
The court then adjourned till 15th April, 2019, for presentation of facts and sentence.
