Man, 57, Arrested Over Dirty Fight With Lady

A 37-year old lady, Rebecca Olawule has shown enormous strength after she engaged a 57-year old man, Mr. Gabriel Akinlolu in a public fight that lasted about an hour before the police intervened and arrested them.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the tough brawl took place at Abundance Avenue in Ejigbo, Lagos where they resided.

During the fight, Rebecca was said to have seriously engaged Gabriel in the fierce battle even to the surprise of the residents. The residents expressed surprise that she had such strength to the extent that she was said to have almost defeated Gabriel before the police came. It was gathered that Rebecca resisted every blows from Gabriel and as well given responded with her own blows. It was their neighbours who were unable to separate them that contacted the police who intervened, arrested and detained them at the police station.

The cause of the fight was yet known as the police did not state what transpired between the two parties which might have caused the public fight.
However, it was learnt that the duo had an undisclosed disagreement which later resulted into a public brawl and they were said to have injured each other in the course of the fight.

The police charged them for affray and conduct likely to cause breach of public peace in the area.

They pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector G Simon did not oppose their bail but asked the court to give a short adjournment for trial.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.K.J. Layeni granted them bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
They were remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 27 June, 2018.
